- WHAT ARE APPRENTICES? -

Apprentices are student midwives who have completed their academics and are now in the clinical years of their training.

- HOW MUCH WILL APPRENTICES BE INVOLVED IN MY CARE? -

Usually one, maybe two Apprentice(s) will sit in on most of your prenatal visits, and then also attend your birth to assist your midwife.  When you begin care you are able to specify the level of involvement you feel comfortable with having the Apprentices as part of your birth team.

DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE

A discount is available for clients who choose to have an advanced trained Apprentice as their co-midwife with Faith.

When Apprentices reach an advanced level of training, they must give a certain amount of primary care in order to learn all the skills necessary in becoming a Certified Professional Midwife. All this care is given under the direct supervision of the supervising midwife (Faith); so in essence, the client has two midwives instead of one.

Many clients choose to have a few prenatals, meet the Apprentices, and then decide how much involvement they are comfortable with, and choose their financial option accordingly.
